When we reach the entrance, it appears that it is closed for lunch time. So, we proceed to the riverside of "Sungai Sarawak Kanan". There is a recreation area there where you can picnic, barbeque and have a dip in the cooling water.
It is pretty easy to recognize the place, as there is a big sign being placed at the entrance.
There are 3 cave passage and a jungle trail. The jungle trail actually connected cave passage no. 2 and 3, while passage no. 1 actually will lead you to the riverside of "Sungai Sarawak Kanan".
The cave passage is total darkness, so be prepared with torch light or you can rent one at the ranger center at the entrance of the cave. The rented torch light is not strong and I end up using my 430EX as the torch light.
While we standing just outside the opening of the cave, we can feel a strong cool breeze blowing out from the cave. It is really cooling even under the hot sun. I think this is why the cave is named Wind Cave.
Once you start to walk into the cave, you'll start to hear all the bats conversation, too bad I couldn't understand what they actually talk about. I didn't really notice where they are until I fire my 350D with the 430EX external flash. So the above shot is actually a blind shot by just pressing the shutter.
They are bascially everywhere on the wall.
Another attraction in the cave will be the limestone formation. To admire all these, you'll really need a powerful torch light.
Another special thing you can see will be the bird's nest.
We kind of rushing through the passage (Only passage 2 and 3) since it is total darkness in the cave and we actually bringing our little cute daughter along the trip. I'll definitely want to revisit it and try the passage 1. You'll need to pay the entrance fees (I forgot what is the fees already).
After the Wind Cave, we proceed to our next destination "Fairy Cave". It is totally different compare with Wind Cave. While Wind Cave is dark, narrow and low, Fairy Cave is actually high up, bright and spacious.
When we saw the staircase, my knees start to melt already......but this staircase is actually a new version.

I'm glad that they actually build a more proper staircase. :P
Once you complete the stair climbing, this is the entrance to the cave. You'll still need to climb through a small vertical opening (like a tube) to reach the cave.
Once you reach inside the cave, you can climb up this staircase to reach the higher point inside the cave to have a good scenery around you.
This is what you will see once you climb up, it is really spacious...

There are wooden platform built here and there in the cave for visitors to admire the scene.
While we are wondering why it is named as "Fairy Cave", is it because it is high up? or because it is bright and spacious? We found this stone formation, and we believe the Fairy like figure is why it is named that way.
Well, it is really an interesting cave as there is this mouth like opening inside one of the passage.
